Shari Chankowsky, BSW (She/Her)
Social Work Intern
After working in the field for 25 years, Shari has recently returned to study at McGill where she is completing her Masters Degree in Social Work. She spent the first part of her career working in the Families and Youth Department of a CLSC, followed by 9 years as a guidance counsellor at a private high school, where she gained a great deal of experience working with youth.
Shari works with a variety of clients ranging from adolescence to late adulthood, helping them to navigate their current life challenges. She provides guidance and support around issues including, but not limited to, interpersonal relationships, life transitions, self esteem, anxiety and depression. Shari draws from systemic and strength based approaches, empowering clients in working towards their goals. Providing a warm and safe environment in which a strong and collaborative relationship can develop with her clients is paramount.
