Shari Chankowsky, PSW (She/Her)

Clinical Social Worker

Shari is a licensed clinical social worker with 25 years of experience in the field. She spent the first part of her career working in the Families and Youth Department of CLSC Rene Cassin, followed by 9 years as a high school guidance counsellor, where she gained a deep understanding of the challenges facing adolescents and young adults. Shari received a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Social Work degree from McGill University, where she is currently completing her Master’s degree.

Shari works with a variety of clients ranging from early adolescence to late adulthood, supporting them as they navigate their current life challenges. She provides guidance around issues including, but not limited to, interpersonal relationships, life transitions, self esteem, anxiety and depression. Shari uses an integrative approach, with a focus on client strengths, helping to empower them in attaining their goals. Providing a warm, welcoming and safe environment in which a strong and collaborative relationship can develop with her clients is paramount.
