Sereena is a doctoral candidate in the Counselling Psychology program at McGill University. She previously completed a master’s degree in Psychiatry at McGill University during which she worked with individuals affected by stressful and traumatic events. More recently, Sereena completed a year-long clinical practicum at the McGill University Psychoeducational and Counselling Clinic, where she offered psychotherapy to adults presenting with anxiety, depression, and interpersonal difficulties. Sereena is currently working at openspace clinic as an intern under the supervision of Dr. Mara Riff and Dr. Christine Saykaly.
Sereena welcomes clients with empathy, sincerity, and kindness, and she works collaboratively with them through the challenges they face. Her main clinical focus is supporting clients struggling with anxiety, depression, navigating difficult life transitions or stressful/traumatic experiences, and working with couples.
