Social Worker/Couple and Family Therapist
Nancy is a licensed social worker and couple and family therapist who has been working in the mental health field, with adults, families, young adults and teens for over ten years. Nancy approaches mental healthcare from a perspective of curiosity and compassion. She believes that, with support, all people are capable of strength, growth and resilience even in the face of profound challenges.
Nancy holds a Master’s of Social Work from McGill University and a degree in Couples and Family Therapy from the Jewish General Hospital as well as a certificate in Cognitive and Behavioral Therapy from the Allan Memorial Institute. In her practice, she blends these approaches to help people develop strategies for navigating and developing understanding of the issues that bring them to therapy. Nancy has extensive experience working with folks from diverse cultural backgrounds as well as from the queer, trans and gender non-binary community. Nancy brings her compassion, professionalism, and expertise to a wide range of needs including anxiety, depression, self-harm, gender dysphoria, life transitions, coping with mental illness, couples issues, interpersonal issues, family therapy and more.
