Lew Lewis, MEd (He/Him)

Psychologist

Lew is a psychologist with a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology from McGill University and is a member of the Order of Psychologists of Quebec. Having held the position of Director of Student Services at the EMSB for 20 years, Lew has furthered his training in such areas as cognitive-behavioral therapy, short-term psychotherapy, solution-focussed brief therapy, and mindfulness-based stress reduction.
Lew works in a very warm, empathetic and collaborative manner, and being eclectic in his therapeutic orientation, he will often include humanistic/existential, cognitive-behavioral, and psychodynamic approaches with a view to best meeting the needs of his clients.
The primary focus of Lew’s professional practice with older adolescents and adults includes client challenges related to anxiety, depression, self-esteem, interpersonal relationships, grief, perfectionism, decision-making, life transitions, workplace issues, and stress management.
