Lauren Kolyn, MSW (She/Her)
Clinical Social Worker
Lauren ardently supports people in cultivating inner strength and knowledge to overcome challenges. She aims to help alleviate past and present suffering– feelings of grief, shame, anger, or anxiety– so clients may lead healthier, more empowered and fulfilling lives. In practice,
Lauren encourages a collaborative therapeutic relationship, whereby all parties play an active role, while feeling safe and supported. With an MSW from McGill, and an ongoing career as a professional artist, Lauren integrates her clinical skills, creativity and intuitive nature into her work.
Lauren is particularly interested in how we can heal through slowing down our minds and connecting to our bodies. She uses a humanistic and integrative approach, with an emphasis on attachment theory, mindfulness, emotional regulation and self-compassion practices, to support clients in establishing and actualizing their goals.
