Jill Wood, BSW (She/Her)

Clinical Social Worker

The relationship between counsellor and client is unique. Jill creates a warm, non judgmental space for her clients that is free from the pressures and dynamics of the outside world. This facilitates candid conversation, fresh insights and collaborative exploration of the client’s life and goals, fostering a deeper understanding of self. Jill supports clients through a creative blend of practical skills-focused approaches to stabilize challenging situations, as well opening space for deeper exploration of the ‘why’ behind our behaviours.

Jill is curious about people and their stories. She supports clients experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, loss, illness, burnout and life’s transitions. She believes in exploring the context of the whole person within their particular world. Jill’s approach is transparent, honest, sometimes funny, and always genuine. She uses a creative blend of therapeutic modalities tailored to each client, which may include Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Person-Centred Therapy and Emotionally Focussed Therapy.

Jill works with individuals and couples virtually in Quebec and British Columbia, and is completing her Masters Degree in Social Work at McGill University
