Eliane Nevares, M.S.W.

Clinical Social Worker

Eliane Nevares holds a Masters of Social Work from McGill University, and is a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association.
With a passion for clinical work, Eliane has worked in a Victim Assistance Unit at a local police department in the Greater Vancouver area as well as a child protection social worker supporting Indigenous families who have experienced extensive trauma during their most vulnerable moments. Since graduation, she has focused her clinical practice on the treatment of eating disorders and their comorbid problems including mood and anxiety disorders.
Eliane has had the humbling opportunity to help both individuals and families recover and thrive. True to her social work roots, she works from both a trauma-informed and psychosocial perspective. She believes it is integral to understand each person in the context of their environment, move beyond the symptom, and dive deeper alongside her clients to work towards long-term recovery and resilience. Eliane looks forward to supporting you with warmth, empathy, and an open mind.
