Audrey Mariamo, MA
Doctoral Candidate
Audrey is a doctoral candidate in the Counselling Psychology program at McGill University and holds a master’s degree in Counselling Psychology. In 2019, she completed a year-long clinical practicum at McGill’s Psychoeducational and Counselling Clinic, where she worked as an intern with young adult clients. In 2020, she completed a year-long clinical practicum at Medipsy, where she worked as an intern with adolescents and young and older adults. Throughout these practicums, she worked with clients who sought support for a variety of challenges, including interpersonal difficulties, depression, anxiety, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. She currently works as a doctoral intern at openspace under the supervision of Mara Riff and Christine Saykaly.
Audrey’s clinical interests include mood, anxiety, eating, personality, and obsessive-compulsive disorders, as well as interpersonal difficulties and challenges related to life transitions. Audrey aims to create a warm, empathetic, safe, and accepting environment that fosters self-exploration, learning, and growth. She strives to foster a collaborative and strong therapeutic alliance in order to promote her clients’ wellbeing and to help them reach their therapeutic goals.
